The Respond Right EMS Academy / St. Charles Community College Consortium is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).

Classes meet two days per week – some weekends are required for specialty classes and clinicals are scheduled at the students convenience.  Class meets from 8am – 4:30pm and students will attend over 1300 hours of didactic, lab and clinical hours combined.  Our Paramedic Program combines Anatomy & Physiology  and Paramedic Program (18 credits).  Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the NREMT Psychomotor and written exam.

Register For Upcoming Classes

2019 – Date to be determined

  • First day of class is orientation and is mandatory to attend.
  • Class meets from 8am – 4:30pm.
  • End Date – End date could vary per student depending on the progress of completion of clinical and field internships.

Program Prerequisites & Requirements:

  • Two recommendation forms (form provided in application packet)
    • One of the recommendations must be from one of the following: a nurse, firefighter, paramedic, NP, PA or physician.
  • Copy of driver’s license, birth certificate or state ID to verify age.
  • Copy of social security card.
  • Copy of current Missouri EMT-Basic License.
    • Or a copy of your application for your EMT-B License.
  • Copy of health insurance card.
  • Submit documentation of a physical exam. This general physical exam needs to be performed by a MD, DO or NP within the last 12 months.
  • Copy of AHA BLS Healthcare Provider CPR.  Take a class here if you need it.
  • Copy of Vaccination Records. You must provide the following: MMR or Antibody Titer Test, T-Dap, Flu shot (within season), Hepatitis B and Negative PPD in the last 12 months.
  • Complete Vehicle Information Form (form provided in application packet)
    • Submit License Plate Number, make and model of vehicle.
  • Acknowledgement of the form Course Demands
    • Must be signed and notarized

    • Must be signed and notarized

Other Requirements:

  • Laptop or tablet with full OS.  You must bring this to class every day.  A computer is required for exams, quizzes, lab work, clinical documentation and coursework.  Must have the most current version of the following:
    • Windows or Apple operating system.  This must be the full version of the Operating System.
    • Internet Explorer – must be the current version with JavaScript enabled
  • Access to high speed internet for course work and communication
  • Reliable transportation for travel to/from class and clinical and field internship.
  • Must maintain a high degree of professionalism both in and out of the classroom.
  • Must maintain a high level of hygiene and grooming.
  • Must be able to pass physical exam and meet physical requirements for Paramedic licensure.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend at a college level.

*NREMT Written Test, Missouri State Practical, and Licensure fees are not included.
