Scholarships & Funding
Respond Right EMS Academy is privately owned and operated. Students are unable to use Federal Student Aid, or FASFA, at this time. Here are some other great resources to pay for your education:
- Scholarships
- Bound Tree Medical: Offers educational funding to those continuing a family tradition in the field of EMS through the Legacy Scholarship Program.
- CIA Medical: Submit your application before June 1 for our yearly $1,000 scholarship. Tell a story of how a healthcare worker has made a difference in your life or the life of someone near & dear to your heart.
- NAEMT: The NAEMT Foundation works to strengthen and build a better future for EMS through funding EMS education and research. One of the challenges facing EMS today is recruitment and retention of EMS practitioners. In an effort to address this challenge, the NAEMT Foundation is offering scholarship opportunities to individuals interested in pursuing a career in EMS. Applications are accepted between March 1 and April 30, and scholarships are awarded in June. The following scholarships are available for individuals wishing to enter the EMS profession:
- EMS school or program to become certified as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Amount of Award:up to $1,000, based on the cost of the EMS program and one-year NAEMT student membership.
- Platinum Education: Through our scholarship program, Platinum Educational Group’s goal is to provide students entering the EMS, Nursing, and Allied Health fields assistance in funding their education. In 2015, we launched our program for EMS students only. In 2016, we expanded our programs (to include Platinum Tests and Platinum Planner) and scholarships to include the Nursing and Allied Health fields.We are proud to continue to offer students $1,000 scholarships in EMS, Nursing and Allied Health fields for 2019.
- Zoll Medical: The ZOLL® EMT Scholarship Program awards medical education grants to qualifying EMTs who show a commitment to the profession. The goal of the program is to support the education of EMTs (EMT-Basic, EMT-Advanced) who are working toward their paramedic certification (EMT-P).
- The Next Step: The mission of The Next Step is to provide tuition assistance to individuals active in a 12-step recovery program from alcohol or substance abuse who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing an academic or vocational education.
- Scholarship Central: Scholarship Central was created to help St. Louis Metro Area students (including Illinois), and students throughout Missouri, connect to financial resources for college. Getting started is easy.
- Missouri Career Center
- We are an eligible Training Provider. If you fall into certain eligible categories, special assistance may be available. These categories include certain individuals affected by a lay-off, disability, or veterans. Check with your Missouri Career Center to learn more.
- If you have been approved for training assistance through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) we can assist you if you are interested in a career as a Paramedic.
- Private Lenders
- We encourage you to work with a lender that you already have a working relationship with. Lenders that some of our Alumni have used include:

- Ask your current employer is they have tuition assistance. Many times this benefit may be available and may pay for a substantial portion of your tuition.
